Thayer, Mo. – If you ever wanted to buy you own personal ambulance, now is the time. The Oregon County Ambulance District is selling three of their vehicles. They are accepting bids now through September 17. Anyone may bid on a vehicle. Here are the details.
What Is Selling?
Three vehicles are for sale. The Oregon County Ambulance District has maintained preventative maintenance for each of the vehicles. Each is sold as is without any warranty.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe
The vehicle has 127,646 miles. The engine is a 5.3 L. It’s in very good condition with nearly new tires. Everything works and it is 4- wheel drive. Runs excellent. The emergency lighting can stay with the vehicle.
2011 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 Ambulance
This vehicle has 191,795 miles. It has a Mercedes engine and is in fair to good condition. It runs excellent and the tires are good. Engine was replaced at 172,933 miles.
2011 Freightliner Sprinter Ambulance
This, too, has a Mercedes engine with 210,126 miles. Everything works and the tires are good.
To place a bid, you can deliver a sealed envelope with a bid in person or mailed to District Office, 722 West Walnut in Thayer, Missouri . This bid must include your name, address, phone number, which vehicle you are bidding on, and the amount of your bid.
The district board will open the envelopes at a meeting as soon as practicable after the end of the working day of September 17, 2021. At this time, if your bid is accepted, you will have 10 business days in which to make the payment.
One may view the vehicles at the district headquarters in Thayer. They are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The vehicles are in the process of being cleaned and detailed so the prospective buyer may have a cleaner vehicle that what is currently seen.
