Former NFL Player Timothy Brown Dies at Age 82

Alton, Mo. – Timothy Brown, who was a former NFL player, singer, and actor, died at the age of eighty-two on April 4, 2020.

His Life

Timothy Brown was born in Richmond, Indiana, on May 24, 1937. Even though he was born in Richmond, Indiana, he was raised in Knightstown, Indiana. Brown grew up in an orphanage. He played professional NFL football, acted in movies and TV shows, and sang. He also served as a correctional officer at juvenile camps. Brown died of dementia at the age of eighty-two on April 4, 2020.

Timothy Brown played professional football, worked as a correctional officer, sang, and acted during his lifetime.

Football

He first started playing football when he was in college. The Green Bay Packers took him in the 1959 NFL Draft. Brown only played one year with the Packers then went on to the Philidelphia Eagles. He played for the Eagles as a runningback for eight years. After the eight years, he was taken by the Baltimore Colts, where he played for one season. He retired after playing in the NFL for ten years. The final game he played was in Super Bowl III with the Colts. The Colts did not win the game. Brown also went to the Pro Bowl in 1962, 1963, and 1965. He was also inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame in 2015.  [1] Brown also was a color analyst for CBS NFL telecast in 1973.

Acting/Singing/Correctional Officer

He had already started acting while he was still playing football. After he retired from football, he became a full-time actor. Brown was in at least twenty movies and tv shows. Timothy Brown’s acting career was from 1967-2000. Brown began singing while he was in college and developed his singing during his life. His singing career was from 1962-2016. Timothy Brown also worked as a correctional officer at Camp Kilpatrick, a juvenile detention center in Los Angeles, California.

Timothy Brown lived a long life doing many things. He lived from May 24, 1937, to April 4, 2020, where he died at the age of eighty-two from dementia.
