5k West Plains Run- Are you Ready To Run Outdoors?

The spring season has begun. Perhaps you are keeping your New Year’s resolutions by eating right and exercising. West Plains is setting up to help you exercise with others like minded individuals. While not in the cold of February, or the heat of July, this run promises to be popular for the amateur athlete. Here are more details.

When Is The Race?

The 5k at Galloway race takes place on April 23, 2022. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. Race day registration and packet pickup is between 7:00 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. The awards ceremony will be at 9:30 a.m. Other fun activities are planned for throughout the day between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Where Is The Race?

The race is held at Galloway Creek Nature Park in West Plains, Missouri. The address is 2183 County Road 1770. Simple directions to this facility is that it is located off Girdley Street which is between Toyota and Morlan Shell Ford, by City Hall.

Cost?

Most races do cost. This one has an entry fee of $35. For those who want to run virtually, the fee is $50. You can register online ahead of time here.

Extra Details.

The entry fee covers the cost of a t-shirt, water bottle, cooling towel, and custom medal and bib. The trail run will be on a paved trail. There is a limit of only 30 participants. Also, you need to register by April 8 to guarantee you desired t-shirt size. Anyone can participate.

This is a pronounced way to get fresh air, view nature, meet other runners in the area, while staying healthy by running.
